When replacement makes sense

If a roof has widespread damage, repeated leaks or is near the end of its life, a replacement can cost less over time than patching. Our free inspection comes with dated photos and a straight answer: repair, replace or leave it alone.

What a replacement includes

Full tear-off. Edmond's building department notes that roof replacements require removing all existing layers of shingles [1].
Deck check. Some shingle makers don't allow installation over wide board sheathing, so an overlay of OSB or plywood may be needed [1].
Drip edge and flashing. Drip edge is required for asphalt shingle roofs under IRC R905.2.8.5 [1].
Ice and water shield at valleys and where a lower pitch meets a steeper one [1].
Cleanup of the yard and driveway when the job is done.
